Matthew Yehling is the Director of Claims at Midwest Employers Casualty (MEC), a Berkley Company, where he uses his 19 years of experience in workers’ compensation claims management to direct MEC’s organization of top-performing claims professionals. Matthew serves on the Self-Insurance Institute of America (SIIA) Workers’ Compensation Committee and is actively involved with Claim Litigation Management (CLM) and International Rehabilitation Synergy Group (IRSG). Matthew also promotes and serves two charitable organizations that provide direct support to injured workers and their families: Kid’s Chance of Missouri and Operation Food Search. In his current role, he works with MEC partners to emphasize claims best practices, focusing on early claim identification, cost containment, and timely resolution.

Patty Reinecke, RN, BSN, CCM, MSCC, Director of Client Consults and TPA Relationships at Midwest Employers Casualty (MEC), a Berkley Company, has over 28 years of experience in the workers’ compensation industry. She provides a unique healthcare perspective to identify high-risk claims quickly and develop solutions that help employers and injured workers achieve better outcomes. In her current role, she works to ensure quality claim handling within the MEC Claims Department and as a liaison to facilitate positive working relationships with our partners and their claim administrators.
